Earlier this summer, while cleaning out our grandfather’s house – we found these quilts that our great grandmother had made. Quite a few of them actually. Alot of them were tattered and stained, but I couldn’t stand just throwing away something so old and something that so much hard work went into. So I took them and told the family that I would turn them into pillowcases, with the good parts, so that we can all have a piece of her quilts.
I created a simple pillow case with a zipper at the bottom. I plan to mail these to family across the country, so this will make it easy to throw in an envelope and they can stuff a pillow into them when they get them.
I was able to make four pillows from one quilt. I still have three more quilts to go!

A past wedding client of mine had asked me to design a logo for her new business she had started. She has a collection of vintage goods for the home – with her main love and focus being everything travel related – maps, books, souvenirs, and other little kitschy finds. Her site launched a few weeks ago, complete with an online shop. (she lives in australia – that lucky girl!) Rebecca was great to work with, and loved what I created for her. I think it works great for her brand, and I wish her lots of success! looking forward to finding something great in her shop to pick up for myself!
I am OBSESSED with making those sequin ball ornaments we made on sunday. I love organizing all the little sequins and coming with patterns and color combos. This time I added beads and LOVE the dimension it brings to these. They look so vintage and sparkly! Can’t stop. Won’t stop! Currently working on a blue one….I could have a whole tree covered in these guys!
