I wrapped up this valentines weekend with a hot pink juice. It was delicious!
1 small beet
juice and enjoy!
*update! I made this juice AGAIN last night and subbed an orange for the grapefruit. YUUUUM. right amount of sweetness.
this time I did 1 apple, 1 orange, 1/2 a beet and 3 carrots. Perfect for one post-work out serving.
Milo and I have been juicing alot these past few days we have been off! This has been one of our favorites as of late.
1 sweet potato
this kid cant get enough!
I have been curious about juicing a sweet potato for some time now. I saw a post recently where someone juiced one and claimed it was delicious. One lonely sweet potato had been lingering in my fridge, along with some macintosh apples the husband bought for eating (gross!), so I thought now was a better time than ever. And I gave it a go.
I put one sweet potato
in the juicer. and honestly, not so sure what I was scared about…this was super tasty! Milo was mad it didnt make enough for him to have a big glass full! (we had to share). That said, Ill be buying some more sweet potatoes and making more next time!
Also known by milo as “purple juice.”
I have a busy day ahead of me – about to get groceries, run to the farmers market and head to the library – all before I’m out of here to shoot a wedding. So I made milo and I some juice to help get us going.
This was a mixture of
2 green apples
1 small beet
3 large pieces of kale
1/2 large cucumber
handful of pea shoots
Milo drank all his, and then came to find me and finished mine! Another juice, toddler approved.

Tonight I made a juice using:
…and it was DELISH!
I picked up some golden beets at the farmers market today and couldn’t wait to get home and turn them into some kind of juice.
I used 1 large orange beet, 1/4 of a pineapple, 1 green apple and some kale. This was so so delicious. Milo drank his and then insisted on finishing mine!
Made this green juice tonight with the hopes to get some fruits and veggies in milo and IT WORKED! In his exact words…”mmmm, this is delicious.”
1 green apple
3 stalks celery
5 pieces of kale
handful of green grapes
I finally broke down and bought a juicer. It arrived yesterday, but the hubs and I were toddler free, so we had an ever-so-rare date night. I’m off to shoot a wedding this afternoon, but before I leave I wanted to test it out. My mother in law bought me this book a few months ago, so I basically opened it up and made one of the first juices I came across, the carrot cleanse. I made it according to the recipe, I just didnt add a beet, b/c I didn’t have one. It was pretty darn tasty! I think if I start juicing I definitely need to start composting, and I need to figure out what to do with all this pulp! The juicer worked great, and was super easy to clean. Can’t wait to make some more!
The juice was:
3 sticks celery
1 big piece of kale
This super delicious smoothie was inspired by the house-made sorbet whole foods has sometimes at the ice cream bar….That and I had four rings of pineapple left, and one sad sprig of basil. I threw that in the vitamix along with a kiwi, handful of grapes, three big pieces of kale, ice cubes and a little water….SUCCESS!
Since we are moving next week I have been trying to use up the food we have in the house. This smoothie is a pure result of that task.
About 8-10 strawberries
2 overripe kiwis
1 cup green grapes
Half of a peach soy yogurt
1/4 cup almond milk
This hit the spot.
