223. handprint garden stone.

Another take on the garden stone. After seeing my other one, my mother in law requested one with milo’s handprint. I’m not totally sure I have the right cement for this, but I gave it a go. I used two plates and an ash tray from the thrift store. This time around I filled the cake pan with the cement and as it started to dry I started to shove the pieces in the cement. It was fast drying cement, so this wasn’t the easiest thing to accomplish, but I kind of like the way it ended up…

I saw this post on making your own garden stones using a cake pan. We had some leftover cement from a fence project Dj is working on – and I got some mugs and a cake pan I could junk up from the thrift store. This was pretty easy! Our cement was the fast setting kind, so this was ready in no time. I want to make a whole bunch! I have lots of other ideas – I definitely think we need one with milo’s hand print!
