peerless charm logo.

I was asked by Lauren of Peerless charm to come up with a new logo. Lauren is a jewelry designer who creates ethically sourced jewelry for socially concious women. I’ve watched her business progress and I was honored she asked me to redesign her identity. I’m also thrilled that she has taken this more ethical approach to her business and stands up for what she believes in.

Her old logo included a flower, and used the turquoise color.  She didn’t really have many requests or limitations on what I could do – just to keep the color pallete the same. This is the concept she chose and I think its a nice, clean update on what she previously had.

313. redefined catalog.

I’m the senior designer at IES Abroad in my day job. One of my biggest project here are these study abroad catalogs. We create alot of them…18 actually! This year I redesigned them completely – even changing the orientation and reworking our brand all together….They look great and I’m extremely proud of them….One in particular is our “redefined catalog.” This is sort of an overview of all of our programs, but also a way to get you excited about us as an organization and about studying abroad. We took a new approach to this catalog and we are super happy with the way it came out.

Well I found out today that it won a MarCom Gold award for design! So I thought it would be a good thing to blog about today.

298. etsy header.

My friend needed a header for etsy shop and asked for my help. We put our heads together and came up with this. Check back to her shop for some awesome stuff soon!

My friend is having a party tonight and asked me to make her a simple sign to guide her guests…I couldn’t make it tooooo simple, so I had a little fun with it.

291. holiday cards.

Since we finally took family photos a few weeks ago, I figured I would get a little ahead of the game and I designed and got my holiday card to print! I can’t show the real thing here b/c that would ruin the surprise for those of you who will be getting one…BUT i will share with you what I did last year! I’m pretty excited about this years card! I’ll show you this years card on christmas…so stay tuned

Its milo’s birthday week! He turns three on friday, and were having a thomas party for him – so thomas cupcake toppers were in order!

I saw something like this on etsy and thought about ordering a print for milo’s new room, but then I realized, I could probably make something similar myself….And get it printed at alphagraphics for like $4. So I made one using Illustrator and once his room gets together, might print and frame it for him.

68. be awesome today.

This is the result of playing around in adobe illustrator. I found this site, and there’s lots of stuff on there I’m going to eventually try to get better with the program. Since I’m stuck in bed recovering from oral surgery, I figured tonight was a good night to give it a whirl.

20. make great blog.

Today is the day I thought of this blog! I stayed up way too late planning it out and working on the logo. I had to backtrack a bit, but I definitely made something every day this month…I’m really excited this is coming along!
